The netidee Call 2022 is on!

With a total volume of one million euros, netidee, the funding program of the Internet Stiftung, once again supports projects and university theses on the topic of the Internet.

Innovative internet projects are funded with up to 50,000 euros and theses at Austrian universities with up to 10,000 euros. In addition to the Martin-Prager-Integration Prize, two special prizes of 3,000 euros will be awarded this year.

Special Prize for "Sustainability": The prize is applicable for digital measures and innovative web-projects that contribute to the sustainability of the Internet and its IT. The reduction of CO2 emissions and the improvement of the ecological footprint through, for example, sustainable IT architectures, optimization of infrastructure or research on the energy consumption of applications are among this area of interest.

Special Prize for „Digital Self-Awarness“: This involves ideas, creative approaches and projects through which people are made aware of the psychological effects of the Internet and of ongoing digitalization. Among other things, educating a mindful approach to the diverse possibilities of the Internet, supporting in psychological crises due to digital omnipresence or research into the effects of the digital world on the organism and people are among this area of interest. Contributions to the advancement of the Internet or through the Internet in this area are sought.

Applications can be submitted via online tool by July 11, 2022.
