The nic.at GmbH is the official registry for all domains ending with .at, including the extensions .co.at and .or.at. The Vienna University Computer Center (ZID), where Austria’s domain history originated, is still an important technical partner in the domain administration.

nic.at is contract partner of the registrars as well as domain holders. It is responsible for customer service, data care, legal services as well as accounting and bookkeeping. nic.at is a full subsidiary of the Internet Stiftung.

The ipcom GmbH provides consulting, services, software, and training, in particular on the subjects of Top-Level-Domain Registries and Domain Name Systems. With the product „RCodeZero DNS“ipcom offers business customers, Internet-Service-Providers and Top-Level-Domain providers an Anycast Domain Name Service.

Thanks to the Anycast Technology, name server dispersed worldwide are available under a single IP address. As soon as a domain name is queried, the nearest Anycast Instance responds. This not only reduces the response times of the DNS servers, but also spreads the total server load over the entire network. ipcom is a full subsidiary of the Internet Stiftung.

The tldbox GmbH offers registry solution services for Top-Level Domain operators and applicants. tldbox supplies the technical infrastructure required for domain registration and operation.

Currently, tldbox provides Backend-Services for the generic Top-Level Domains .berlin and .hamburg. Furthermore, tldbox acts as registry for the Top-Level Domain .versicherung. tldbox is a full subsidiary of the Internet Stiftung.
