Stopline: Reports tripled in 2020

Stopline, the Austrian Report Centre against Child Sexual Abuse Material and National Socialism on the internet, informs about this and further developments in its annual report.

In 2020, nearly 27,000 reports were submitted, which corresponds to an increase of 300 percent compared to the previous year — an unprecedented scale for Stopline. However, the rate of relevant reports remained continuously high: Approximately one third of the reported content was classified as illegal and subsequently was investigated in cooperation with the police and host providers.

Stopline is an initiative of ISPA and is funded by the EU program "Connecting Europe Facility (CEF)" and the Austrian Domain-Registry nic.at.
