nic.at: 1.5 million .at domains

The Austrian domain registry nic.at, a subsidiary of Internet Stiftung, manages 1.5 million .at-domains.

Since 2020, the growth of .at domains has intensified. Over 40,000 .at domains were registered per year. In the first quarter of 2023, nic.at already recorded domain growth of almost 30,000 domains, which is almost half of the growth in 2022 (59,695 domains). This means that the 1.5 million mark has been exceeded.

nic.at CEO Richard Wein on the upward trend: "We are pleased that registrations continue to rise. This confirms to us that the domain extension .at is still attractive and will certainly remain so in the future. After all, we are among the 15 largest ccTLDS (country code top-level domains) within Europe."
