netidee SCIENCE Call 5

This year, netidee SCIENCE, the Internet Stiftungs's funding campaign, is once again awarding grants of up to 500,000 euros in cooperation with the FWF for foundational scientific research projects that increase the Austrian internet’s quality, reliability, and security.

The tender phase of netidee SCIENCE Call 5 ended on April 12, 2021. The FWF Board is currently evaluating the applications received over the past months in accordance with international quality assurance procedures (peer reviewing) for scientific projects. Award winners will be announced in October 2021.

netidee SCIENCE promotes high level research of scientists working in the field of (foundational) Internet research. In terms of content, submitted research projects should contribute to the further expansion and sustainment of the positive impact of the Internet on society.
