netidee: Funding 2023 awarded!

Internet projects, scholarships and research will be funded with 1.4 million euros in the netidee Call 18, the funding campaign of Internet Stiftung.

The funding advisory board of netidee Förderungen, Austria's largest Internet funding campaign, has selected 23 projects and 8 students from 103 applications, who will receive a total of 1 million euros to promote the Internet in Austria. The distribution of 400,000 euros as part of the netidee Science cooperation with the FWF will go to a research project at Graz University of Technology.

"The aim of the netidee funding campaign is to promote and further develop the Internet in Austria with open source projects," says Andreas Koman, head of the funding campaign and Chairman of the Board of the Internet Foundation. "Once again, exciting, valuable and innovative projects and work are being funded and all results are made available to the general public free of charge as open source. This means that they can be used and further developed by everyone and even more people can benefit from the Internet," Koman continued.
