The netidee Call 21/2026 is now open!

With a total of 300,000 euros, netidee—the Internet Foundation’s funding program—is once again supporting innovative projects and successful initiatives related to the internet this year.

Funding is available for projects focused on the innovative development and diverse use of the internet in Austria. In addition, support is provided for projects that maintain and further develop existing, successful initiatives.

Up to 60,000 euros in funding is available per project. Additionally, the Martin Prager Integration Award, worth 3,000 euros, will be presented. This special award goes to the funded project that best aims to strengthen digital participation and the use of the Internet for integrative purposes.

All funded project results must be published under open source or Creative Commons licenses. This allows the entire online community to benefit from them.

The entire funding process takes place online, from the application to the disbursement of funds. Applications may be submitted until July 7, 2026.
