netidee projects: PATHfindr

PATHfindr offers young people free and anonymous educational and career advice via social media. Questions about their professional future can be asked on a moderated Discord server and answered by advisors.

The target group for the service are socio-economically disadvantaged young people in Austria aged between 14 and 22 who have questions and concerns about their professional and educational future.

The special thing about this project is that PATHfindr provides all young people transitioning from compulsory school with support in their comfort zone (the digital world): low-threshold, free and professional educational and career advice on a Discord server. The young people remain anonymous.

They receive advice regardless of their appearance, gender, origin or other characteristics, always with a focus on the skills of the individual. This relieves and supports parents and teachers.

Young people's questions are answered by experienced advisors. This happens either publicly in one of the channels or privately by drawing a ticket. In addition to the exchange with the advisors, young people can network with each other around the clock and support each other.
