netidee: Funding 2024 awarded!

Internet projects, scholarships and scientific research will be funded with 1.2 million euros as part of the Internet Stiftung's funding campaign netidee.

The funding advisory board of netidee, Austria's largest Internet funding campaign, has selected 18 projects and 10 students from 119 applications, who will receive a total of 870,000 euros to promote the Internet in Austria. The distribution of 400,000 euros as part of the netidee Science cooperation with the FWF will go to a research project at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

The special prize of 3,000 euros for “Digital Decision Making” goes to the “AdGuardians” project at the ÖIAT. The project is developing a monitoring and reporting system to combat fraudulent online advertising. The Martin Prager Integration Prize goes to the “Easy Language AI” project by Acolono. The aim is to promote digital inclusion by means of an AI application that translates complex texts into “easy-to-read” language.
