Digital brand positioning with your own top-level domain

Starting in April 2026, companies will be able to apply for their own company domain. tldbox supports companies from the initial idea to secure, ongoing operation.

For over a decade, it has not been possible to apply for your own top-level domain (TLD). In 2026, a rare and strategically important window of opportunity will open: for the first time since 2012, the international internet organization ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) is launching a new application round for new generic top-level domains (ngTLDs).

Particularly attractive for companies: for the first time in 14 years, they can secure their own brand extension – a so-called .BRAND TLD. More than 310 companies worldwide already use such a domain, including industry leaders such as BMW, the Schwarz Group, Google, HSBC, BNP Paribas, and Bosch.

tldbox GmbH is one of Europe's most experienced experts in the TLD sector. With over 37 years of experience in operating the national domain extension .at through its sister company nic.at, as well as numerous successful applications in 2012 – including .berlin and .hamburg – tldbox supports companies from the initial idea to secure, ongoing operation.
