CERT.at: DDoS attacks on Austrian companies and organizations

The Computer Emergency Response Team Austria reports on an acute wave of DDoS attacks and recommends checking internal processes and technical measures.

In addition, direct contact should be established with the respective ISP to discuss precautions and support in the event of an attack. Contact details of authorities and the ISP should also be available offline.

For further information on the topic of DDoS, please refer to the warning dated June 14, 2021 (https://cert.at/de/warnungen/2021/6/ddos-angriffe-gegen-unternehmen-in-osterreich) and the “Schriftenreihe Cybersicherheit Distributed Denial of Service DDoS” published by the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence Service (https://www.dsn.gv.at/501/files/Cyber_Ratgeber/Schriftenreihe_Cybersicherheit_Distributed_Denial_of_Service_DDoS_Februar_2022_BF_20220216.pdf).

In the event of an attack, a corresponding report is requested at reports@cert.at to support the relevant situation report, or an NIS report if necessary.
