A top-level domain (TLD) is the suffix of an Internet address, such as .at, .berlin, or .vig. A domain suffix enhances visibility on the Internet and - something many people don’t realize - ensures security through its own defined registration policies.

Phishing, domain spoofing, and trademark infringement are risks that have become part of everyday digital life. In German-speaking countries alone, counterfeit domains cause millions in damages each year. With a dedicated TLD, a closed digital ecosystem is created in which the company, as the domain owner, has sole authority to determine which domains or online services are to be operated under its brand.
